Fiona Hewitt — Wu & Wu | DumplingDynasty.com

bigbagofjoy

My sis copped this bag from a store in NYC's Chinatown for somethin' like $12 USD. She quickly became obsessed with its kitschy aesthetic; so, too, did I. After weeks of pestering, she finally found time to scan images of the bag for me (shakes fist). The illustrator's name is Fiona Hewitt, and I ♥♥♥ her illustrative style! It's quirky, fun, bizarre-o and indeed "oddly delicious." Haha how sick is it to call your website Dumpling Dynasty??! And check out this Baking Kit yo, isn't it toooooo hard to resist? Oh, and before I forget, watch this >>> ROCKIN' THE BAG OF JOY... SICK BOSS! Bwahahahahaha!

Wendy Ding's Donut Girl

Wendy Ding's illustrations are utterly lip-smacking. Just look at this blonde-haired beauty. In an instant, I'm back to being 4-year-old Shelley, whose favourite donut of all time was Hawaiian. Like every other kid, I was just enticed by the donut's colourful sprinkles. Oh, it was such fun biting into that lightly-glazed, airy donut! Each bite into that frosted layer of crunchy sprinkles tickled my teeth with joy. Check out Ms. Ding's foxy Donut Girl in full, "complete with friendly donut neighbours," at http://wendyding.com/blog.

Martha Rich — Illustration

Been lovin' Martha Rich's illustrations from time. Her artistic style is silly, raunchy, uncanny, somewhat un-refined, and yet altogether beautiful. The subject matter in her paintings tend to revolve around juicy, vivacious women. Not surprisingly, food—oh glorious food, tends to be a recurring theme in her artwork as well. Boobs and food on a platter?! When's dinner 'cuz I'm hungry! Cake and Lobster is Martha Rich's website.

espaghetti head

jamie_unfinished2

Off-kilter and crude to the max, I have drawn here a cwazy, Medusa-like, espaghetti-headed Jamie Oliver in his love for the Italian culture. PASTA FACE/LOVE! Initially, the intention of this illustration was to draw his espaghetti head above (and about to be submerged in) a big pot of boiling hot water. Check out this chick's blog — luciolland — she is one of the illustrators for Jamie's Magazine. Lucky bee-ah-tch. But I'm not hating. And for a double dose of Italian-ness...!
