Red Bean Bun + Vanilla Ice Cream

A match made in heaven! Being from Toronto and all, I've had my fair share of wickedass red bean buns. Bigup all the Chinese bakeries in Scarbs, btw. But today, after I decided to try the Red Bean Bun from Breadtop Bakery here in Melbourne, a lightbulb went off over my head... why the hellz not eat it with vanilla ice cream? The bun wasn't off the hizzy... but cold, classic vanilla ice ice baby + red bean bliss = KILLER COMBO.

Koryodang NYC ― Red Bean + Green Tea Ice Pops

Hot summer nights. #Sigh. Creamy and refreshing, these ice pops were somethin' like $1.25 each. Copped 'em at Koryodang, a bakery/cafe in Manhattan's K-Town. Both of 'em could've been a tad less sweet, but anything with red bean or green tea in it (be it baked or fried, shaken or stirred) always finds its way into my belly. Among the faves: Red Bean Sliced Bread + Green Tea Cheesecake (note: these food faves cannot be found at Koryodang).
