San Francisco | Oct ― Nov 2010

West Coast loooooovin!!! Had a bombass time chillin' in San Fran last week. Highlights include partyin' it up on Halloween at DNA Lounge with the International Crew, Bob Ross & Steve Irwin. Can't forget gorging on half-price tacos with the cousins at Nick's Crispy Tacos and biking across the Golden Gate Bridge with my Swiss friend, Andy. Lastly, bigup USA Hostels for being one of the BEST hostels I've EVER been to. Met the koolest people there, you know who ya'll are. Did I mention I ♥ travelling?

Feed Your Self

feedyourself

Upon initial glance, I thought this mini-poster alluded to something serious. Then I went to the website, http://please-help-your-self.com. All it is is a buncha t-shirts with "Feed Yourself" screen-printed on 'em. Conceptually, I'm not impressed. I like the dripping ice cream cone image, but what does it have to do with telling people to feed themselves? And the typography's soooo cliché man. It's been done.

El Tonayense Taco Truck - Mission - San Francisco

eltonayense

Ehyo Chowhoundians, is this the true El Tonayense Taco Truck?! You tell me. I'm not a San Franciscan local. On Nov. 2, right after the parade on Market Street celebrating the Giant's winning the World Series, I spotted 'nuff peeps lining up at this truck... so I figured it must be good. Don't know for sure if more than one truck exists, but this one was parked in the Mission, at Harrison & 14th.

Messy me got porky juice droppings on the trunk of someone's car, bahahaha. Suckers. Lesson of the day: don't park your car in front of a taco truck, stupid! Only had room in my tummy to try one taco, so I randomly chose the Al Pastor Taco. Marinated pork? ...shmwhy not? Cost me a buck-seventy-five. And it was a buck-seventy-five well spent...! "This thing is drippin in my hands, and I'm gettin someone's car dirty... but I don't even f.cking care..."

On someone's front steps, somewhere along 15th in the Mission, the pumpkins sat in silence. BOO!

I'm in San Franciscoooooooo and dang does everyone celebrate Halloween like it's X-mas over here; it's a weekend-long paRTAY! To celebrate the occasion, I'm getting all festive 'n such. Halloween'd-up, bombass-lookin' Kara's Cupcakes right here. I only tried the Chocolate Coconut one, but holy shmack the Smores one is lookin' kinda nice still. I'm told Kara's Cupcakes are known for being super-duper moist... and I can't even disagree with thaT!

...this mini Chocolate Coconut cupcake was so squishy, it practically disintegrated upon contact.
