Back home, if I celebrated at all, on Canada Day I would likely be BBQing with the fam and watching fireworks at night. It's funny how when you live abroad though, you tend to get more excited about cultural events like this. As such, I badly wanted to celebrate Canada Day this year, and after some seeking, I was able to find fellow Canucks living in Braunschweig! We planned to meet for a picnic and some drinks in a local park on the birthdate of our home and native land, and the afternoon turned out splendidly. Pictured here is the flag Kelly proudly made for the event. We got some stares but whatev!
